Dear Kat,

 Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy life to present to the Introduction to Human Services students at SUNY New Paltz!!  Your presentation on October 26, 2012, was so well received! It reflected the confidence with which you conduct yourself and the vast knowledge and experience you have on the topic of domestic violence!  

The students really enjoyed the presentation and their feedback included the following comments: “Kat was so approachable”; “She answered all our questions!”; and “It was incredibly informative!” 

I was especially impressed with the ease with which you conducted the class and the pedagogical approaches you used to engage the students! The way you presented the survivor’s sense of control and empowerment along with the concept of harm reduction was phenomenal!  I am definitely going to “steal” your illustration for future classes!  So, thank you, Kat, for also being my teacher :-)  Your contributions to this class and your CHS ambassadorship are invaluable!
