The Dutchess County Family Court supervises visits for non-custodial parents and their children when there is an indication or allegation of domestic violence, child abuse, substance and or alcohol abuse, or threats of abduction. This program provides a safe, neutral environment where non-custodial parents and children can visit together. Trained staff and volunteers support and monitor these family visits. The Supervised Visitation Program also offers staggered arrival times and court officers on duty before, during and after visits.
The program ensures that Court mandates are followed and that the risk of harassment or harm to children and custodial parents is minimized. Our staff and child-friendly spaces offer a comfortable environment for positive interaction. |
