Integrated Domestic Violence Court links the criminal court and family court systems in cases relating to custody, orders of protection and cases involving domestic violence. Family Services partners with the Dutchess County Court System. We provide advocacy in court, assist in meeting needs of the clients from housing and shelter and working with the department of social services, provides follow up services and informs the victims of other available services, such as Crime Victims, Mental Health and Substance abuse counseling and housing and income assistance and childcare.
Victim Advocate at Dutchess County Sheriffs Office
The Jessica Gonzales Victims Assistant is a Family Services Battered Women’s staff member who works primarily at the Dutchess County Sheriff’s office. This staff member works directly with victims who come to the sheriffs office to have orders of protection served. The victim assistant meets with each victim to facilitate safety planning and refer them to available follow up services.
