Battered Women’s Services offers non-residential services to victims of domestic violence and their children. Services include: 24 hour safe counsel and support for any person in a relationship that is or was in an intimate relationship, that is or was physically, emotionally, psychologically, verbally or sexually abusive. Staff provide counseling, advocacy, emergency assistance, community outreach education and youth domestic violence prevention.
Domestic violence includes any behaviors that demonstrate one person’s need to have power and control over the other. These behaviors are meant to provoke fear.
All services are accessible, non-judgmental, free and confidential for all victims of domestic abuse regardless of sex, race, age, sexual orientation, ability or religion. Services are available in both English and Spanish. |
